Cursive generator
Drawn from: Gveret Levin.
How the generator writes
Each letter is drawn from one declared, openly licensed cursive typeface, Gveret Levin (SIL Open Font License 1.1). Real hands join letters in more ways than a typeface can, so use the result as a model to copy, not as a sample of someone's handwriting. Letters the typeface does not have are left as gaps in the text rather than replaced with a different letter.
How to use it
Type or paste Yiddish text into Your text, and the ruled card redraws it in Hebrew cursive as you type. Copy puts your text on the clipboard. Share image saves the ruled card as a PNG picture, ready to send or print. In a browser, Download SVG saves the letters as a vector file, which prints sharp at any size: trace it, or set it on a card.
To learn the hand rather than copy it, start with all 22 letters of the Hebrew cursive alphabet, each on its own page, then write them out on the printable practice sheets.
